I do believe we have a full week without any interruptions!  Doesn’t happen often!

This is report card week.  I believe they are being sent home Monday.  Please look for them.  I think the class has grown in so many ways.  Look for at least one area you child has improved in.  Please remember that you can keep the report card, but sign and return the envelope.

We will be attending the 8am liturgy on Friday.  Please have your child to school no later than 8:55 so they can attend with us.  Students arriving after that will be with Mrs. Steinmetz till we get back.

The children did such a great job with the cardboard boxes project.  The projects need to come home this week.  If you child takes the bus, please send in a bag they can carry their project in.

VALENTINE CARDS!!  Whenever you get around to making cards for classmates you may bring them in.  We will distribute them on Valentine’s Day, but I would appreciate getting then into school before then.  Here is a quick list of our classmates:  Chris, Ava, Nick, Evan, Jackson, James, Gladelis, Vivian, David, Chloe, Preston, Michelle,  Gianna, Cayden, Carter, Caroline, Emma, Sophia, Isabelle, Mack.  The room moms are planning a party for that afternoon so please do not send in extra treats that day.  Thanks.

In Religion we will be finishing Chapter 3 in our Eucharist Book and continuing with our study of the liturgy.

In Math we will finish up our unit on money with a test on Friday.   You can review for the test by reviewing pages 53-58 in your homework  book.

In Language Arts we will be working on a book jacket for the story we are reading.  This book jacket will be their assessment this week.  Please be sure to study the spelling and vocab words each week.  We will finish a fun writing project we have been working on.  Each child writes a sentence and then passes it on for a classmate to write the next sentence.  This continues for about 10 sentences.  I can’t wait to see if this idea is a success or a complete disaster!

Have a peace-filled week!
