Principal's UpdateMid-summer updates from Mr. Keeley

Good afternoon, Resurrection Families, As summer begins to wind down, I hope it has been a time of relaxation, fun, and meaningful moments with your families. I’m writing today to share a few important updates as we prepare for the start of the new school year. This year, Kindergarten, Fourth Grade, and Sixth Grade will need to be one class per grade. Please know that Sixth Grade Math will include an accelerated section to continue meeting the needs of all learners. We are in the final stages of interviews for our Advancement, Marketing, and Admissions Director position, as well as for the Second and Fifth Grade teaching positions. There will be a change to our morning drop-off routine: Pre-K students and buses will continue to use the front of the building.

Grades K–8 will now enter through the rear of the building, at the gym door located between the back courtyard and the building. This new pattern is intended to reduce congestion on King’s Highway. Dismissal procedures will remain the same.

We kindly remind you not to park in neighboring business parking lots or ask your children to meet you there. We’ve already received requests from these businesses that RCS families not use their lots. Students who walk or ride bikes to school must have a Walker/Biker Badge, which requires parental consent. Please note that primary grade students will not be permitted to walk or bike without an older sibling. Walker/Biker permission forms will be sent out shortly. Walkers and bikers are not permitted to cross major highways or intersections. Our Meet & Greet and School Supply Drop-Off Night will take place on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 6:00–8:00 PM. Please visit your child’s classroom or homeroom during this time. Kindly remember that this event is not for detailed conversations about your child’s academic program, schedules, or progress. It is simply an opportunity to drop off supplies, say hello, and meet fellow families. We anticipate sending out class lists during the week of August 11th. Just a reminder—physicals must be completed before the school year and athletic activities begin. Forms can be found on our school website. More information will follow soon. Until then, enjoy the rest of your summer! Warm regards, John W. Keeley Principal Smile, Share, Make Good Decisions!
